Excellent lens, March 14, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sigma 258306 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens (Electronics) I'm not entering in technical explanations. I like to take pictures a lot, I already have 4 cameras and a bunch of lens and equipment. Honestly I don't see the point to talk about specifications. The picture that counts to me is the picture that I like, period. Now, back to the review, I ordered this lens from amazon couple days ago. Norman Camera and Video received the order and they sent the lens next day by FedEx, thanks for that, excellent and fast service (good thing that was fast and free shipping). Received the lens last Tuesday, I started to "play" with it in my d7000. I have a couple little objects in my house so I could run a couple shots with this lens. Previously I have a Tokina 100mm macro for Nikon and one Tamron 90mm for my canon 60d and T2i. I already have on file pictures of this objects with my other lens, I use the same apertures, speed and ISO measures than my other lens, more likely. Excellent Quality, April 23, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sigma 258306 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens (Electronics) I bought this lens after a detailed comparison with the Nikon 105mm. Tested both with similar conditions, same images, one after the other and found comparable results. The only difference I saw between them was the focus speed of Nikon is slightly better than the Sigma. My considerations were more around sharpness and image quality as a whole: sigma's results were the same as Nikon. So I went ahead and purchased this lens.
Definitely happy with the quality of the images, performance and overall built of the lens. Good work by Sigma in creating this wonderful lens.
